The new Nokia 3310, which was revealed in last year’s Mobile World Congress, initially intended to capitalize on eager customers with nostalgia as its selling point. But apparently, the magic of the throwback device wasn’t just a one hit wonder as improved versions of the popular feature phone were slowly rolled out into the market.

According to the folks at The Verge, the 3310 will soon have another version that’s capable of handling LTE connectivity. Currently, the 3310 only has a 3G and 2G version, both of which were unveiled and launched last year.


There’s one downside though. Naturally, better internet connection usually means lower battery life, which is unfortunately the case for this version. From 14 hours, battery life is estimated to go down to just five hours with LTE usage.

The 3310 4G is expected to be launched during MWC 2018 later this month. So far, it will only be released in the Chinese market. There’s also no price yet but it’s probably safe to say that it will cost more than previous models launched at $59 (or roughly P3,000).
