Attention, dear Techies! Huawei has unleashed yet another Android-powered handset in the form of the Ascend Y200 here in the Philippines and, as expected, it's very affordable. Good news for those wanting to ride on Google's mobile platform without spending a ton of moolah, no? Now let us tell brief you in the goodies this device will bring to the table.

Running things for this device is the combo of an 800MHz CPU and 256MB RAM. There's also a 3.2-megapixel camera, wireless connectivity via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and, just like its larger sibling, the Honor, the Ascend Y200 comes with a 5-second boot up time. On the software side of things, the handset sports Gingerbread with Huawei's own Emotion UI slapped on it. But perhaps the biggest selling point of this newbie, aside from the SRP of course, is its 3.5-inch touchscreen with IPS (in-plane switching), something that you'll have a hard time looking for in handsets in its price range.

As the title states, the Ascend Y200 will retail for P5,490, making it within reach of many Pinoys on a budget, and should be rolling out in the country in the coming days. Cheap Androids, we think there will always be a market waiting for those.
