Step aside Apple and Samsung, the true king of water resistant smartphones is back.
Enter the Rafre, a smartphone created by Japanese electronics company Kyocera which boasts top tier water resistance.
According to Kyocera, you can actually take the Rafre with you into the shower and wash it with soap and water.
In addition, it has a new feature that increases its resistance to foaming soap so you can also use that to keep your smartphone squeaky clean.
The Rafre also has a 5-inch touchscreen designed to be used under wet conditions so whipping out your smartphone in the rain or replying to a message while relaxing in the bath tub should be no problem.
As for its specs, the Rafre definitely didn’t compromise on its other features just to accommodate the waterproofing tech since it runs on Nougat 7.0 and has a 13 megapixel camera all powered by a 3,000mAh battery.
The only problem is this: the Rafre will only be made available in the Japanese market starting March so it might prove difficult to obtain one.
Kyocera previously launched the Digno Rafre which also had similar water resistant features back in 2015.
