Gone are the days when we had to wait for the annual installment of color-coded Pokémon cartridges, or settle with those Poke Ball toys (complete with elastic cord) to try to "catch them all" (which really meant plastic miniature figures in the latter's case).
Those pocket monsters we're used to seeing pixelated or on TV are now one step closer to real life, with news of the media franchise set to release an augmented-reality app—and Nintendo's first mobile game at that—called Pokémon GO!
