Let's take a glimpse at what Facebook has done lately; they've filed their IPO, grown to over 900 million worlwide users, updated their Facebook app to include an auto-download of their very own Messenger and Camera, and now is rumored to be working together with HTC for the new "Facebook phone". Now, HTC certainly has had its share of the spotlight in the past couple months ever since their new flagship, the HTC One X, was unveiled at CES and launched in the Philippines and although worldwide news about revenue reports haven't been that optimistic, Facebook seems to think that they're the best man for the job. After all, they were the ones who manufactured the first Android phone and the Google Nexus One.
This isn't exactly HTC's and Facebook's first collaboration. Remember the HTC ChaCha?
We're guessing that this rumor has some weight into it since Facebook is the social network to be in (sorry, Google+) and HTC has been known for their great handsets. Digitimes claims that the Android (made by Google, Facebook's nemesis) smartphone that HTC is developing "will have a platform exclusive to Facebook to enable and integrate all functions available on the social networking site."
Perhaps the new Facebook camera app is a good indication of some of the "integration" we can expect from this new partnership. But we're curious, do you Like (pun intended) Facebook that much that you would get a Facebook phone?
