Been waiting for some Ice Cream Sandwich lovin' to be slapped on your precious Galaxy S II? Then, we have a bit of very good news for you, bud. Samsung has started officially rolling out the sought-after update, resulting in sighs of relief from many of its patient patrons.

The announcement came from no less than Samsung's official global blog which tells us that, well, it's legit. In case you didn't know, the rumored March 10 roll-out didn't happen. Also, an announcement from Samsung Mobile Philippines' Facebook page saying the Korean-titan needs more tests added to the woes of those who've been waiting. So yeah, this is something really welcome. Not only that, Samsung also says other products like the Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1 will be getting the update soon, too.

We can't blame Galaxy S II users for feeling a tad frustrated with the waiting time. After all, it's been more or less 4 months since Samsung first announced the update. Anyway, European countries will have first servings of the update with other markets following after. That means us here in the Philippines should be getting it pretty soon. That should be enough, for now at least. We'll be updating you guys soon once it arrives.
