The Galaxy S III is the Korean-titan's next flagship phone and the Galaxy S II's successor. It was first expected to be launched at the MWC 2012 but Sammy decided to skip it and come up with a different event where the device is the solo star. Invites have been handed out to tech media outlets abroad which show the top image and the words "come and meet the next galaxy."
Now we're not 100% sure if the Galaxy S III is indeed the one described by the event but, given that it's been long overdue and we see no other high-profile Galaxy handsets coming out soon that deserves an event of its own, it looks like it will be the one. As for its rumored specs, see below.
- 4.8-inch full HD 1080p resolution with 16.9 aspect ratio display
- 8-MP rear camera and 2-MP front-facing camera
- 4G LTE connectivity
- 1.5GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos processor
- Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
