The Samsung Galaxy S III will be up for pre-orders in a couple of days from both Globe and Smart but, hey, you already know that. What you might know is the fact that the flagship device is officially launching here in the Philippines next week, on May 28 to be exact.
Samsung's local PR arm spilled the beans on this one, so yeah, this is legit. The launch date being set on May 28 isn't really much of a surprise since unveilings like this one normally follow soon after pre-orders start which is in this case, as we've said, is on May 23. This also means that availability could go live in June, probably in the first week. In case you didn't know, the Galaxy S II was launched last year here on June 13 so, yep, it looks like a mid-year arrival for the Galaxy S III fits nicely as far as Sammy's local flagship launches.
That's all for now, folks but, rest assured, we'll keep you posted on this one as soon as more deets come our way. First, the new iPad's Philippine debut and now this? Needless to say, the next couple of weeks will be really interesting in the local tech scene.
