After months of leaked details, Samsung has finally unveiled what it claims to be the toughest smartphone in the Galaxy line: the Galaxy S8 Active.
How tough is it, you might ask. According to the official press release, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is "constructed with military-grade materials for the utmost durability." The device protected by a metal frame and bumper, and a rugged back cover (polycarbonate), rendering it almost impervious to shock, shattering, water, and dust.
"Our new Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is designed with tested durability and strength to address the needs of consumers who need a more rugged device for their lifestyle," Samsung Electronics President and CEO Tim Baxter said in a press release.
Unlike its regular counterpart, which was the first phone SquareTrade has tested "that's cracked on the first drop on ALL sides," the Active version is built for the clumsiest users who have holes for hands.
Being built for an apocalypse is only half of the improved Galaxy S8's appeal. Here are its other thrilling features.
