These days where the bigger smartphone you have the better it is, Samsung decided to go the opposite direction and shrink their smartphone to a mere 2.8-inches. Well that's good news, a phone that'll fit in your pocket comfortably without giving you a randomly awkward square shape on your hip.

Speaking of pocket, the little wonder is called the Galaxy Pocket. An entry-level device, it'll be powered with an 800MHz processor and Android 2.3 Gingerbread on top of Samsung's TouchWiz UI. The phone will give you 3GB of storage but expandable memory is provided for by the MicroSD (up to 32GB). Sammy also created a unified inbox for SMS, emails, IMs and social network messages for navigating easily in a tiny wonder such as this.

The press release says it'll be available in the UK later this year but we hope it'll find its way to the Philippines as well, it sounds like it could be one of those smartphones Techies with tight pockets (literally and figuratively) would love.
