Getting tired of ultrabooks? Not us! Fact is, we've just welcomed another newcomer here in the Philippines. Enter Toshiba's new Portege Z930, a device that, aside from packing handsome hardware, is being called by its mother ship as the lightest in its class.
So, just how light is it? The Portege Z930 tips the scales at just 1.12kg making it the lightest 13.3-inch ultrabook today according to Toshiba. It also comes with a brushed metallic finish casing that's also durable and robust at the same time, able to withstand the demands of everyday use. The keyboard part deserves a thumbs-up from us, too, as it's spill-resistant and matches the overall look of the device to a tee.
Now that we have the exterior out of the way, let's dive into the innards. The Portege Z930 comes packed with an Ivy Bridge processor, up to 8GB of RAM, 256GB SSD, and a bright 13.3-inch display. The good thing is Toshiba also packed full-sized HDMI, VGA, USB 3.0, LAN ports as well as an SD Card reader into the device. Of course, wireless connectivity via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi is also part of the deal. Toshiba also claims we can juice up to 8 hours of battery life from the Portege Z930 from a single charge.
As for the SRPs, the Core i5 version will set you back for P69,990 while the Core i7 variant costs P13,000 more making the Portege Z930 a bit similarly priced to other ultrabooks that have made it to our shores. Check out the gallery below for in-the-flesh photos.
