Apple's latest and greatest handset, the iPhone 6, is a beautiful and powerful device. It has nice hardware (we're big fans of its TouchID fingerprint sensor) and that timeless sophisticated look that gets second and third glances even from our technophobe friends.
It's also an iconic handset, one that adds another gallon of gas to that blazing inferno of a debate that is the great Android vs. iPhone war.
We're not here to end that discussion, however, simply because we're matured enough to say "to each his own, bro." What we're sure of though is, while the iPhone 6 is surely among the world's most popular handsets, it certainly can't claim that it's also among the thinnest. Yes, it's skinny at 6.9mm, but there are several phones out there that will soundly beat it in the thin-is-in department.
One phone comes to mind: the 4.85mm-thick Oppo R5. We saw this gorgeous beast in the flesh in Singapore last week and—whew!—ang payat!

Too bad it's not yet making heads turn here in the Philippines.
But don't fret, fellas! If you have a fascination for really thin phones that are thinner than the iPhone 6, we have six such anorexic wonders for you below. And the best thing about 'em is they're all available here in the Philippines!
ALCATEL ONE TOUCH IDOL ULTRA
Skinny jeans-approved thickness: 6.5mm
We'll forgive you if you're clueless about this phone. After all, Alcatel isn't a household name. However, we reckon the Idol Ultra deserves attention simply because it's as thin as a Mongol pencil, which has a thickness of roughly a quarter of an inch.
Hardware highlights: 4.65-inch touchscreen, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 8-megapixel main camera (1.3-megapixel secondary), Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth

HUAWEI ASCEND P6
Skinny jeans-approved thickness: 6.2mm
Its design won't blow you away (read: it won't stand out in a sea of touchscreen phones). What will though is the fact that it's only 6.2mm thick! To give you an idea, that's almost only a fourth of the thickness of the legendary Nokia 3310.
Hardware highlights: 4.7-inch 720p HD touchscreen, 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, up to 16GB capacity, 8-megapixel main camera (5-megapixel secondary), Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth
Yours for: P13,500
