It's been quite a week so far for local smartphone geeks!
Two days ago, we were able to score the latest deets on Philippine pricing and arrival of Samsung's latest flagship handset, the Galaxy S5. Yesterday, we were able to give y'all a peek via in-the-flesh photos of Nokia's first Android, the Nokia X. And now, we have another news that your smartphone-loving hearts will be interested in: Fellas, the Sony Xperia Z2 has been launched here in Pinas!
And, it's actually a pair!
The Xperia Z2 branding is shared by two next-gen gadgets from Sony. The first one is a waterproof gadget that inspires us to work out (read: it's hella thin!). The other is one of 2014's first superphones which will do battle with the likes of the LG G Pro 2 and the Galaxy S5.
Know more about these bad boys below!
SONY XPERIA Z2 TABLET
Sony calls it the world's slimmest and lightest waterproof tablet. We call it another gorgeous addition to our tablet hitlist. The Xperia Z2 Tablet is crazy thin at just 6.4mm. Heck, it's even thinner than Apple's tablet pride, the iPad Air (7.2mm)! How about that, Apple fanboys?
And because waterproofing is "in," the Xperia Z2 tablet can stay submerged for half an hour at a depth of up to five feet!
In terms of hardware, the Xperia Z2 Tablet comes packing a 2.3GHz quad-core chip, 3GB of RAM, a Full HD 10.1-inch touchscreen, 16GB of storage, and an 8.1-megapixel shooter. And for you Mr. 3G is effin' slow, you'll be pleased to know that the device also has LTE for mobile surfing of up to 40Mbps! Hayup sa specs!
SONY XPERIA Z2
Damn, the Xperia Z2 Tablet really got our geeky selves going! Next stop, its smaller but equally impressive bro, the Xperia Z2 smartphone. It isn't just another run-of-the mill phone: The darn thing is hardware beast! You know the drill: a quad-core processor, several GBs of RAM (3GB to be exact), a big-ass display (5.2-inch with Full HD touchscreen), and the standard wireless options namely Wi-Fi, 3G, and Bluetooth.
