It’s been too long since Square Enix gave us any updates on the much-awaited remake of Final Fantasy VII and the third installment to the Kingdom Hearts series. The Japanese company has remained silent despite fans clamoring for more information on the celebrated titles.
Thankfully, fresh details that point to the likely announcement of these games have started circulating as the RPG rumor mill resumes its churn.
According to DualShockers, Square Enix CEO Yosuke Matsuda stated during an investor meeting that they were planning to reveal the release dates of some of their upcoming major titles sometime between April and June 2018.
It’s not yet set in stone but the FFVII remake and KHIII are definitely two of Square Enix’s most talked-about titles currently in development.
Aside from this, Matsuda also said they were open to bring their games to emerging platforms like the Nintendo Switch, which has taken the world by storm with its innovative console-on-the-go hybrid design.
The latest bits we got for both games were a bunch of screenshots earlier this year. There were also some cool gameplay videos shown during the PlayStation Experience event and Disney’s D23 Expo. Check them out below:
