Rumor has it that a huge-ass Android mega phone is coming. No, we're not talking about that loud contraption we often see in gatherings like rallies or parades to help amp up the speaker's voice and the crowd. We're talking about a true-blue handset, one with a monstrous size that will make you think it ate loads of Cherifer.
No, not that one...
So, just how big are we talking about here? The device, dubbed as the Galaxy Mega, which also means it could be shipping out of Samsung's backyard, is actually two flavors in the making. First, there's a specimen with a 6.3-inch touchscreen. It's also said to have other goodies such as a dual-core CPU as well as an 8-megapixel main cam and a secodary 2-megapixel shooter up front.
No official photos yet, but if ever it comes out, it will dwarf even the Galaxy S4
Now, if that's a bit too big for your taste, it's slightly smaller sibling might be more up your alley. This one is rumored to have a smaller 5.8-inch display with a resolution of 960 x 540, a 1.7GHz CPU, and 1.5GB of RAM. Whatever you choose among the two will make your current smartphone look small and petite.
Despite the Galaxy Mega's size, it won't belong to the flagship group of smartphones once it comes out, no thanks to its specs that scream "mid-level" (i.e. not having a quad-core processor and at least 2GB of RAM). That's not necessarily a bad thing since that also points to it not having a hebigat SRP.
Of course, nothing's written in stone yet so we'll be on the lookout for more deets. If ever it does become official, it should be good news for those wanting to try out this pick-up line: "Hey, I have a large thing in my jeans that's ready for the touching." We're not guaranteeing it will work though, but still...
