Bandai has relaunched the original pocket device that features the cute and addicting simulation game, which spawned an international cult craze for virtual pets in the '90s.

According to The Verge, the Tamagotchi still has the six classic pets based on its first release way back in 1996.

As usual, these adorable pets will keep your boring day occupied with their eating, sleeping, and pooping habits. Be warned, they will still die if not properly cared for so you better keep an eye on them.

The design, meanwhile, went through a minor makeover, but still retains the nostalgic egg shape that every kid back in the day fell in love with.

The Tamagotchi is priced from 1500 to 2000 yen (around P600 to P900), but you can only get them in Japan as of now.

Check out this unboxing video of the new Tamagotchis.
