Gamers, rejoice! Acer has just made a one-of-a-kind gaming laptop with the Predator 21 X, which was showcased at the Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA) in Berlin. The IFA is one of the oldest industrial exhibitions in Germany.
However, it's not much of a laptop since it weighs a whopping 8 kgs—roughly 17 lbs. Without a sturdy table, a hardcore gamer's lap might get crushed by this monster.
The Predator 21 X has a 21-inch curved screen, the first of its kind. It also has a twin NVIDIA 1080 graphics card for a clear-cut images. No doubt this laptop can satisfy your VR demands.
Gamers are also picky when it comes to the keyboard, or in this case, the laptop's keypad. The Predator 21 X's keys are individually backlit, so you could see the controls better when you're playing in the dark. The numeric pad looks like the usual numpad...until you flip it over and find out that it turns into a touchpad for lack of a mouse.
Being heavy-duty, it is sure to heat up. Acer addressed this by installing five fans to keep the entire unit cool. Three are made of metal for extra insulation. It has a triangular glass window to see how they do their thing.
The memory gives justice to the size of the device. With 64GB and five storage drives, it's more than enough to hold all your games without lagging.
It's loud: four speakers and two subwoofers make up for the most realistic sound.
Sadly, Acer won't release the Predator 21 X until 2017. No news so far as to how much it will cost, but one still has at least four months to save up for its arrival.
In the meantime, here is a video of the gigantic Predator for all the gamers out there:
