Last October 27, Apple announced the long-awaited arrival of the new MacBook Pro during their event entitled Hello Again.
The rumors about the new laptop were consistent with the actual MacBook when it was finally introduced to the public. True enough, Apple aficionados were not disappointed with its features, such as the touch screen keyboard that have replaced the function keys.
However, no matter how sleek and amazing the new MacBook Pro is, not everyone has the capacity to adjust to its user interface. It's a good thing there are other laptops (which are equally adequate in terms of quality) that run on Windows.
Here's a list of the best MacBook Pro alternatives:
1. HP Spectre X360
If the MacBook Pro has a touchscreen keyboard, the HP Spectre X360 has a fully rotating screen. It's kind of reminiscent of Lenovo's Yoga laptops. This machine packs up to 15 hours of power, has a 13.3 inch screen, and weighs only 2.85 lbs. Though it has two USB-C ports and a regular USB port for other flash drives, it lacks an SD card reader so you might want to choose the heavier 15-inch version. It's still a bargain at $1,159 or P56,042. Way cheaper than Apple's $1,447 or P69,990 MacBook Pro.
2. Dell XPS 13
Among all the possible substitutes to the MacBook Pro, Dell has the closest one in the form of the XPS 13. Apart from its small 13-inch screen size, the XPS 13 can also last up to 10 hours, has 8GB RAM, 256GB of storage, SD card reader and two regular USB ports. Not bad for $1,199 or P57,977.
3. Razer Blade Stealth
The Razer Blade Stealth is more of a gaming laptop. With 256GB of storage and a 2,560 x 1,440 display, it's a gamer's wet dream at only $1,250 or P60,443.
4. Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Yoga
Just like the Spectre, Lenovo has a 360-degree rotating screen. This laptop boasts an OLED display and 2,560 x 1,440 resolution, giving you an extremely clear image of whatever it is you're streaming. This one will set you back $1,682 or P81,332.
5. Microsoft Surface Book
The list of Windows operated laptops won't be complete without Microsoft's newly introduced Surface Book. It has a whopping 16-hour battery life, weighs only 3.63 lbs, plus it has a lot more USB ports than Apple's new computer. Though the price is pretty steep at $2,399 or P116,002.
