There’s a lot of rumors going around regarding the next iPhone but the best one out there is probably that bit about its potential edge-to-edge OLED display, a first for any Apple smartphone and one that fans have been asking for years.
But this rumor got sort of confirmed after a hands-on video with a leaked iPhone 8 model was posted online. Based on this, we could say that it was right on the money.
Meanwhile, EverythingApplePro, who is another reliable source, also got his hands on a mockup 3D model which was made based on all the current rumors. He shared his thoughts on the mockup while also discussing how it would hold up to other current-gen smartphones.
So far, other notable rumors about the 10th anniversary device include a glass body, vertical dual-lens cameras, wireless charging and the removal of the physical home button. This was reportedly done to give way to the sleeker display with noticeably thinner bezels, where the front camera and advanced Touch ID fingerprint sensor are integrated in.
Aside from this, the upcoming special model will apparently launch during the regular cycle with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus variants.
The iPhone 8 is expected to be announced sometime in September and is the first Apple smartphone estimated to cost over $1,000 (roughly P50,400).
