Surprise, surprise! Blizzard Entertainment will be releasing the updated version of their iconic real-time strategy game sooner than expected.
Blizzard revealed in an online ad titled “We Are Under Attack!” that they will already be releasing StarCraft: Remastered next month.
Basically, the game will feature stunning graphics that display fan favorites, such as units like the Terran Battlecruiser and the Protos Carrier, in full 4K glory. But you can always switch to the old school version through an in-game option any time you prefer to go classic.
The package also includes the complete original game as well as the Brood War expansion so you could relive the epic StarCraft experience with heroes like Jim Raynor, Tassadar, Zeratul and Sarah Kerrigan.
Aside from this, the remastered version has updated overall visuals and layout, better audio, a cloud saving feature and an online matchmaking system where you could duke it out with other players.
StarCraft: Remastered will launch for Windows and Mac on August 14th and will just set you back $14.99 (roughly P750). Not bad for the nostalgia trip this 1998 classic has to offer. Check out the gameplay video below:
