Here's Huawei's latest gem
Chalk one up for the Windows Phone 8 bandwagon!
Chinese gadget Titan Huawei has finally and officially launched their first Windows Phone 8 smartphone. Called the Ascend W1, it's sleek and sexy but without the steep price that will make you run for the hills. In other words: mas abot kaya.
Good-lookin' models for a good-lookin' phone
As we’ve said, the W1 looks good enough to attract second, nay, third look from that manong sitting beside you. Measuring just 10.15mm thick, it's not the slimmest specimen around but thin enough for us that it won't make a large bump in your pocket. It also weighs only 130g which means it's one lightweight handset, one that won't give numb your hands when you hold it for long durations.

Now, to the inside! The Ascend W1 comes with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor that's coupled with 512GB of RAM. Internal storage tops out at 4GB although you can use the trusty microSD card to add up to 32GB of digital real-estate to it. Not the best of specs but good enough to handle most, if not all, of your mobile smartphone chores.
NEXT: More of the innards, and the price!
