The 2017 Mobile World Congress is just around the corner, but two smartphone companies are already slugging it out in terms of camera features for their upcoming smartphones.

One of these companies is South Korea’s LG which is expected to launch its brand new G6 flagship phone in four days.

Key features of this stunner have recently been revealed including its 5.7-inch elongated screen in a slimmer body. But what takes the cake is the smartphone’s impressive twin 13-megapixel rear cameras that pack in some serious punch when it comes to photo quality.

This is all paired up with a 125-degree viewing angle that allows for taking pictures that capture the whole moment. In addition, its front camera also has an equally impressive 100-degree viewing angle.

But LG isn’t going uncontested as Chinese electronics manufacturer Oppo also announced that they will soon unveil their '5x' cutting edge smartphone camera technology.

Unlike LG, Oppo didn’t go all out in revealing their new features but instead teased consumers by stating that photos will be so close that you can feel them. This obviously points out to what seems to be a new zoom technology from the Chinese brand.

So how realistic are these photos? Let’s just say Oppo Vice President Sky Li was quoted as saying this is “a remarkable technological breakthrough that will change how the world perceives smartphone photography.”

These smartphone’s whole features and specs will be unveiled at the 2017 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 27.
