Android fanboys are in a tizzy after a Reddit user uploaded the above "press image" that blatantly announces the launch at Samsung's Unpacked event in the city of London. The name on the bottom right is supposedly that of a PR firm that has worked with Samsung before. Hmm...
Display shows that the Galaxy S III will be unveiled the night of May 22, but let's take a glimpse at the device for a minute. It looks unbelievably thin, and has buttons on the side probably for unlocking and camera. The thinness could be about 7mm, possibly moving that rumor that spread last month closer into Truth territory, unless of course this is a fake photo.
There's only one button on its front that we can see, but there are probably two soft keys on either side of the physical button that we can't see right now. The S III has some big shoes to fill, because its older brother was recently crowned best smartphone in the world. Not the easiest title to upstage.
In case you've lost excitement over the S III, here are the specs again:
- 4.8-inch full HD 1080p resolution with 16.9 aspect ratio display
- 8-MP rear camera and 2-MP front-facing camera
- 4G LTE connectivity
- 1.5GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos processor
- Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
That edge-to-edge screen kind of grows on you, doesn't it? We can't believe we have to wait two more months to see Samsung's new flagship.
