How far would you go to protect your iPhone? Would you drop $650 on a bulletproof, unattractive case that can cause "serious injury" when "dropped on foot"? Japanese firm Marudai has begun selling this "armored" iPhone case. It seriously looks like a brick and seems like it weighs like one, too. At 2.1kg, this is the world's heaviest iPhone case. There's a one-inch steel plate in the back that is bolted to an anodized, aluminum front panel that locks into a dummy cartridge. Despite the armor, they have made provisions for the camera lens although its protected with acrylic and sort of covering part of it so all your photos look like they were taken while you were down a tunnel.
This is by far the most LOL-worthy case we've seen so far. Marudai has issued a user guide that makes it practically impossible to do things other than trying not to get injured by the case or damaging your other property. Some of the items on the list include using the phone with both hands because it's too heavy to be held by just one and to keep a table cloth because it'll damage your table.
We don't know who would use such a case, probably not even an arms dealer would buy a case that can protect this good but look this bad.
