Have you ever felt curious about how many swimmers you actually have but are ashamed to go to a doctor to have yourself tested? Don't worry, because it's an all too common scenario for men. The only solution is to swallow your pride and just get the job done.
Thanks to the power of technology, you don't have to go through the excruciating task of going to a clinic to know your sperm count because you can do it yourself at home using your smartphone.
The Medical Electronic Systems, an LA-based technology company, has come up with the YO Sperm Test, which is an FDA-approved male fertility kit specifically designed for home use. It turns your phone into a makeshift microscope that can tell you if you have a healthy sperm count.
It comes with a collection cup, testing slide, pipette, liquefying powder, and a mini microscope which you can attach to your device's camera. All you have to do once the sample is collected is to swirl it in the cup for about 10 to 15 seconds. Let it rest for 10 minutes, then pipe a bit of the sample onto the slide and insert it into the clip. Next, download the app from the app store in order to find out if you have a healthy amount of mini soldiers or not. It will take a few seconds for you to be able to see the 30-second video of the result.
It doesn't dissapoint, because Medical Electronic Systems claims that it is 97-percent accurate. The kit is compatible with recent iPhone models, except the Plus versions, and with Samsung Galaxy S6 and S7. It will be worth $50 once it's released on February 28. Luckily, they ship worldwide and you can pre-order from their website as early as now.
