"They allegedly even hatched plots to kidnap Manny Pacquiao or one of his children, as well as my sister Kris or one of her children with the plan to use them in bargaining for the release of their cohorts."
Aquino also disclosed other ASG plots including an assassination attempt on him, recruitment of New Bilibid Prison inmates, and the bombing of Metro Manila.
He said pulling off these plots were part of the ASG's way of getting favor from ISIS in order to be given access to the international terrorist group's massive funds.
Due to this, Aquino vowed to exercise the "full might of the State" against these lawless elements terrorizing the country.
"So, to the ASG, and whoever may aid or abet them, you have chosen only the language of force, and we will speak to you only in that language."
The President issued the strong statement after the ASG beheaded Canadian captive John Ridsdel on Monday despite being paid a P20 million ransom raised by relatives and friends.
The group, which was initially asking for P300 million in exchange for Ridsdel's life, has earlier pledged allegiance to ISIS and is believed to be still holding over 20 foreign hostages.
