Just a reminder, fellas: December 2013 cover babe Alice Dixson will have her FHM Autograph Signing event this coming Saturday, December 13, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the 4th floor West Wing of Robinsons Galleria! We predict that this is going to be one of most well-attended signing events ever, so do come in early come event night, will you? We can't wait!
Here's the thing though: Did you know that our cover shoot with Ms. Alice almost didn't push through? The whole thing, in fact, almost fell apart right at the last minute.
During a recent interview with PEP.ph, the veteran actress revealed that while the photo shoot turned out fantastic, she initially contemplated ditching the set because of an unforeseen misunderstanding on the pictorial's concept. "The costumes or the clothes they showed me were not what I had approved," she explains. "I was ready to go home."
We're sorry, Ms. Alice, okay?
"In a way kasi, we had already agreed on what we were going to do, and it was not anything like we had agreed on," she adds. "So I said, 'You know what, if this is not going to look the way, you know, I was hoping it would look the way we discussed, then I don't want to be a part of it.'"
We're not going to lie: The whole team was petrified. Are we about to throw away a once-in-a-blue-moon opportunity to feature our childhood crush on the cover? No sir. No, we ain't gonna.
So we did what any lovestruck lad would do: Go down on bended knees and beg for forgiveness. "We're not worthy!" one of our staffers even proclaimed.
After a thorough discussion between Alice and the team, a compromised concept was finally agreed upon. "They adjusted naman and nag-adjust din ako, sa totoo lang," she continues. "It came out to my liking because I trusted the photographer [Doc Marlon Pecjo], which was really important. Thank you, I mean, I'm just worried because it's not really my image. But I'm very happy it came out that way. It came out okay."
The end product, as we all know by now, is nothing short of spectacular:
"I'm glad for the positive feedbacks," Alice tells us. "Kasi it would be really bad if I pose for something and then people will say, 'Ano ba yan, what is she doing?' So I'm really happy that I've got generally good feedback." Are you kidding, madam? This is like the best feedback we've gotten all year!
Now that you know of the shitstorm we went through just to make this cover happen, will you do us a favor and show us some lovin' this coming Saturday? Mark your calendars and grab yourselves a copy! See you there!
