Here’s some good news for all you Pinoy speedfreaks!

The Philippine Formula Autosport Foundation (PFAFI) aims to bring back local motor sports to the main stage, courtesy of the Asian V8 Championship! NASCAR Hall of Famer Enzo Pastor will headline the event alongside several other international race drivers and local celebrities who are giving speed racing a try.

Yezzir, this dude right is a real speed demon

In case you’re not familiar with the guy, Enzo is world-acclaimed motor sport legend. He has won various recognitions in his decorated racing career, including a Magic 6 slot at the 12-track NASCAR Whelen Euro Series. He’s also the first Filipino/Asian to be inducted in the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, North Carolina. Simply put, he's the last guy you'd want to play real-life Gran Turismo with.

If you’re still wondering how much of a kaskasero he is, watch this:

Here's the best part: On March 1, the Asian V8 Championship will begin its official testing, wherein celebrities from here and abroad will go toe-to-toe at the Batangas Racing Circuit (BRC) using the 450HP Late Model NASCAR vehicle below. This vroom looks bad-ass!

The actual competition however will take place at the Clark International Speedway (CIS) on April 5-6, which means you have plenty of time to prepare for the trip. Come race day, expect an awesome display of speedy four-wheel wonders, competitive time trial and circuit showdowns, and of course, a bevy of sexy car show models!
