We all know that aside from being a great patriot, our national hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal, was also great at wooing ladies. Yes, chickboy si Pepe.
The good ol' Doc was so good at romance that authors of history books found it necessary to allot a chapter or two solely for his conquests. In there they retell how he sent puppy loves Segunda Katigbak and Leonor Valuenzuela letters using an invisible ink. Or about Consuelo Ortigas, whom Rizal exchanged romantic verses with during his stay in Madrid.
They also listed down Rizal's international trysts, like Japanese lady O Sei San, British Gertude Beckett, French Nellie Boustead, and the young German landlady from where he stayed in when he was in Brussels. On top of them all is his most written about sweetheart, his Dapitan partner Josephine Bracken.
One hundred seventeen years after his heroic death at Bagumbayan and Pepe is still not done captivating the hearts of womenfolk. Take for example this curvaceous, smooth-skinned, stunner-of-a-babe who takes her first shot at being an FHM 100% Hottie, Barbie San Miguel.
Says Barbie, “Sobrang galing niyang dumiskarte sa babae. He even wrote a love letter to this girl that she had to burn first para mabasa niya. Sweet!”
And this is no mere crush, mind you. Barbie’s so fascinated with Rizal that she’s considering teaching a Rizal course in the near future, leaving modeling (and us!) far behind. This makes us imagine what Barbie could look like a few years from now: dressed in a pencil skirt showing her womanly curves and a white blouse with two buttons let loose; with Vera Wang glasses, which she slowly takes off when she looks at you/scolds you/listen to you recite the Mi Ultimo Adios...
Come to think of it, losing her to Rizal is not that bad after all!
So gents, better memorize your Noli Me Tangere and El Fili and be ready to part your hair ala Rizal, that way you’ll be an inch closer to Ms. Barbie's ideal guy.
Welcome to FHM Digital, Barbie! We just wrapped up a pretty daring shoot. How are you feeling?
Ayun, fun naman siya, actually. Tapos medyo kinakabahan. Hindi ko alam, pero basta pag nasa FHM ako, kinakabahan ako.
You seem to have cut your hair a bit from the last time we saw you. We recall it used to extend up to your butt.
Ah, yes. Pero kaunti lang. Kasi feeling ko parang mas sexy ka tingnan [if you have long hair]. Saka tinatanong ko rin kasi yung mga guy friends kung ano bang sexy sa kanila and most of them said na long hair daw.
So you won't dare cut your hair short but you have no problem showing a bit of skin...
Para sa work lang. Kasi if you get to know me personally talaga, may pagka-boyish ako. Actually, andami ngang nagtatanong, "tomboy ka ba?" Ha ha!
Kasi parang mas nagja-jive ako sa mga boys. Kasi I grew up in a house full of boys. Mga pinsan ko, mga kapatid ko, only girl ako. So lumaki ako na kalaro ko mga lalaki. And instead of being treated as the princess, I became one of the boys.
So how's it like being one of the boys?
Parang hindi ka masyado maarte. Kahit saan pwede ka. Koboy ka. One time nga, sa P.E., nag-basketball kami. Tapos lahat ng classmates ko, "Box out! Box out!" Yun pala gusto lang akong yakapin. Sabi ko lang, "mga manyakis talaga kayo!"
Aside from being boyish, what else could surprise us about your personality?
Baka matawa kayo! Madasalin ako... Ha ha! Parang di bagay, no? Every Wednesday, nagsisimba ako sa Baclaran. And then Sunday sa church namin. Friday, kapag hindi ako busy, sa Quiapo. It runs in our family.
