The San Diego Comic-Con is one of the most important dates in the calendar of any geek today. For three days (this year, it was held from July 9 to 12 at the San Diego Convention Center) the event holds a massive buffet of news and previews of movies, videogames, TV shows, and of course, comics. It's a complete fantasy land, too, with the convention floor being filled with cosplayers and a boatload of toys, action figures, and other pop culture memorabilia to make any geek, well, geek out.

From a geek to another geek, we wish you were there as much as we wish WE were there. We weren't we were busy with this bro-tastic sexy event). But fortunately, we are a bunch of pretty talented Internet explorers. We've hunted down some of the best bits from this year's show just so we could share them with you.

Here they are...

1)   New
Batman V. Superman trailer flies anew

The superhero crossover blockbuster picks up more steam with a new clip that's three minutes long. Watch it here.

2)
   Suicide Squad trailer, leaked!

New shots of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn? We'll take it? Watch it here before it's taken down.

3)   The (X-Men) apocalypse is coming

We finally get to hear the titular bad guy, Apocalypse, speak in the new trailer for Bryan Singer's next X movie here.

4)   The F4 reboot is set to invade theaters next month, FYI

That's Fantastic Four, bros; not the Meteor Garden boy band. The final trailer for its reboot has been released at SDCC, with the full movie showing in August. The footage has been leaked, but the best we've been able to find is this description from Screenrant.

5)   An old-new zombie TV series comes to life!

Bruce Campbell reprises the role of Ash Williams in the cult franchise Evil Dead, this time in a TV series premiering on October 31 on U.S. cable network, Starz. Watch the trailer here.

6)
The Walking Dead keeps on walking this year

While we're excited for Evil Dead's more humorous take on the whole undead issue, we know that the zombie series you're really waiting for is still TWD. The show didn't disappoint fans in SDCC this year, gifting us with the first trailer for season number six (it's as brutal as ever!) and another one for the prequel Fear The Walking Dead, which will show the world before the actual Walking-pocalypse.

7)   An old TV favorite is being resurrected

Remember Heroes? It opened to glowing reviews but quickly faltered in its sophomore season. It's getting a second chance this year on NBC, premiering in September. The trailer was released in SDCC.

8)   They showed scenes from the
Warcraft movie but we're not allowed yet to see it

The hit strategy/MMORPG series from Blizzard is being turned into a movie. They've released footage of it at SDCC...but we haven't seen any leaks as of writing. Thankfully, the guys at Theverge.com drew what they saw for us. The gist: Orcs and humans are about to give each other a serious beating.

9)
Hunger Games: The Musical?

How does one drum up the second part of the The Hunger Games: Mockingjay? Why, with a military-inspired choreographed dance sequence, of course! (BONUS: J-Law looking good in red tights!)

10)
Goosebumps movie trailer gave us goosebumps

Another relic from our childhood came to life at Comic-Con. R.L. Stine's famous horror-for-kids book series, Goosebumps, which was turned into a TV series in the '90s, is now getting the silver-screen treatment. Based on the SDCC trailer, it looks horrifically entertaining!

11)   Speaking of childhood relics, a new
Transformers game is coming

Announced at E3 2015, this new Transformers game, Transformers: Devastation, is on our wishlist because of its visuals inspired by the original cartoon rather than the Michael Bay movies. This is the Transformers game we've always wanted, and they've released a new trailer at SDCC.

12)
Black Ops 3 is ready to supply your demand for zombie games this year

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is the first outing of the series on the PS4 and Xbox One. The "Zombie" storyline for it has just been shown via a trailer released at SDCC. It features jazz music, witty catchphrases, over-the-top weapons, and yes, zombies! Watch it here.

13)   Ken Masters returns in
Street Fighter V!

Ken a.k.a. the American Ryu has officially been announced as an official character in the next SF game, Street Fighter V. The game is looking more fun as we inch closer to its release in 2016. Watch the character reveal trailer here.

14)   Calm down people, the
Deadpool trailer has been leaked, too!

The fourth-wall-breaking "R-Rated" superhero, Deadpool, has his own movie. It's going to be violent, foul-mouthed and funny—three things that we particularly like. The trailer, as with most high-profile announcements here, has of course been leaked. See it here.

Adventure Time is getting the stop-motion treatment

Adventure Time is cool. Stop-motion is cool. So how about we get a stop-motion episode for Adventure Time? Mathematical, right? It is super trippy. Catch a sneak peek here.

16)   We got treated to a behind-the-scenes look at the new
Star Wars movie

We rarely get excited anymore for "The Making Of" specials for movies. Not when it's a Star Wars movie though. The landmark sci-fi series sees the release of the newest entry Star Wars: The Force Awakens this year. Before that, we get to see a behind-the-scenes look at it. Watch it here.

17)   Batman is teaming up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Image via IGN

In the comics, at least. DC Comics and IDW Publishing will be teaming up for a comic called Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. TMNT bad guy Krang will be transporting the Turtles and Shredder to Gotham City in an effort to destroy his arch-enemies for good. Not long after, the Turtles team up with Batman to deliver some reptile-powered beatdown to Batman's villains. Radical!

Read the full news here.

18)
The Dark Knight Returns comics has a sequel

Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns, released in 1986, is one of the most revered Batman comics of all time for featuring an older Batman who's more vulnerable. Now, Miller returns to team up with writer Brian Azzarello (he helmed the relaunch of Wonder Woman in 2011) and artists Andy Kubert and Klaus Johnson to produce The Dark Knight 3: The Master Race.

Watch out for it later this year.

19)   OMG, toys!

From Funko Pop! exclusives to wicked Batman toys to cute Megaman vinyl figures, this was a dreamland for toy collectors.  IGN has a full list of these SDCC exclusives, which, if you're lucky enough, you'll find at eBay.

20)   Cosplayers, everywhere

Collider has a massive gallery of cosplayers from this year's SDCC. This is our favorite though, simply because of the new Dragon Ball series:

21)   Finally, to appease every
Game Of Thrones fan still reeling over recent deaths, HBO has a peace offering

And it comes in the form of an audition reel of the characters when they were very much alive. See it here! If you're a GOT fan, it's something you mustn't miss.

We hope these got your blood flowing, fellow geek. We can't wait for next year's SDCC!
