You might already know a thing or two about Bianca Manalo. One, that at 5'10, she’s one of the tallest girls who has ever graced the cover of FHM. [firstpara]
Two, she’s undeniably irresistible. And three, her face is something that just cheers us up during the gloomiest, rainiest of days.
Those are things though that you get just by looking at this fine young beauty queen. So at the press conference for the FHM September issue, held yesterday September 2 at the Mandarin Oriental, we cornered her, and had her answer a couple of interesting inquiries.
In the magazine interview, Bianca shared: “Karaniwan pa naman, iyakin ako! Kahit anong kababawan nalulungkot ako.” So to dive into that teary side of her, we asked her what one thought can just suddenly make her tears flow.
She reflects, and answers: “Kapag naisip ko ‘yung parents ko. Iniisip ko kung hanggang kailan ko ba sila makakasama. At saka pag nakikinig ako ng "Butterfly Kisses" (a song by Bob Carlisle), naaalala ko ‘yung dad ko, at kung hanggang age ko nga ba sila makakasama.
"Makikita pa ba nila ‘yung anak ko? Ano ba ‘yung feeling ng dad ko—four girls kasi kami sa family e—na naglelet-go siya palagi ng anak na babae?”
Next, having an idea of how nerve-racking being a contestant in Miss Universe could be, we asked her if she’s tried something as daring, or is willing to try in the future, at least.
Immediately, she let out a “Wala!” in a pinched high-pitched voice. “Natatakot ako, natatakot ako! ‘Yung mga friends ko nag-bungee jumping sa Macau, sabi ko mag-isa kayo!(Laughs) Hindi talaga ako sumama.”
It was obvious from the way she answered that last question that Bianca was kalog. Naturally, our next question was what her favorite comedy film, series or actor is.
“How I Met Your Mother!” Bianca replied after a couple of seconds thinking about it. Barney Stinson, youdunnit again, you well-dressed womanizer you.
Being tall, Bianca has also shared that she likes tall men. So we asked her, “Are there any vertically-challenged actors that you find hot?”
As if it were the most shocking thing she’d ever been asked, Bianca replied with a very surprised: “Vertically challenged?!” Finding it hard to cite any, she just proceeded to tell us her three showbiz crushes. “Heto na talaga ang mga crush ko: Cesar Montano, Richard Gomez, and Derek Ramsey!”
If you want to experience Bianca's candidness, head on over to her autograph signing tomorrow, September 4 at Robinsons MovieWorld, Galleria. She will sign autographs and pose for pictures from 6-8pm.
Now, we want to see your photos, too! Share them over at MyFHM.
