FHM Nation, let's all greet Chiaki Kuriyama a belated Happy Birthday! The Japanese actress, singer, and model turned 29 yesterday, October 10. We kind of feel bad that we weren't able to give Chiaki a shout out on her actual birthday, so we make amends by dedicating today's story to her. But before we proceed, do you have any idea who she is in the first place?
For those who aren't in the know, Chiaki is best known worldwide for her roles as Takako Chigusa in the Hunger Games-esque Japanese action thriller Battle Royale, and as sexy schoolgirl assassin Gogo Yubari in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill, Volume 1. The latter especially gave Chiaki a massive cult following that she continues to enjoy to this day.
For lack of a better comparison, let's just say she was Japan's Chloe Grace Moretz/Hit Girl a decade ago, and the GIFs we're about to show you pretty much explains how and why. Read on and find out what makes Chiaki a creep show and a cutie pie all at the same time!
What makes her equal parts cute is even though she's chugging this bottle down, it totally shows that she's not a drinker in real life. And it's adorable that she's trying her darndest to appear drunk...
...But what makes her equal parts creepy is that her "Now it's my turn to murder you" face of destruction is frightening.
What makes her equal parts cute is that given the right makeup color and lipstick, Chiaki could actually pull off a Zooey Deschanel. She's got that twee thing going on for her...
...But what makes her equal parts creepy is that given the right makeup color and lipstick, Chiaki could also pull off a Norman Bates. Awesome as it may be to her boyfriend, you wouldn't want her to catch you texting someone else or arriving 20 minutes late on a date, because you're literally going to get murdered.
