Its first two days saw a handful of trippy nuisance candidates heading to Palacio del Gobernador in Intramuros, Manila just like moviegoers lining up at ticket booths on a weekend. CoC-filing week indeed had a rough start.

While there were still a number of head-scratching applicants, Day 3 wasn't as laughable as Monday and Tuesday, with seasoned politicos and familiar faces being the majority of the hopeful candidates.

We aren't sure if the decrease of loonies will continue tomorrow, but here's hoping that people like that man who claims to have tossed a giant when he was still a kid will not even try...

Meanwhile, here is a quick roundup of the busy third day extravaganza:

SEN. ANTONIO TRILLANES - FOR VICE PRESIDENT

Trillanes, just like Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano, has already denied that he is the running mate being referred to by Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago in her announcement yesterday.

A throng of recognizable senatorial wannabes filled the halls of Palacio:

PARAÑAQUE COUNCILOR AND ACTRESS ALMA MORENO

FORMER SEN. MIGUEL ZUBIRI

FORMER MMDA CHAIR FRANCIS TOLENTINO

FORMER AKBAYAN PARTY LIST REPRESENTATIVE RISA HONTIVEROS

FORMER PAMPANGA GOV. MARK LAPID

FORMER SEN. FRANCIS PANGILINAN

SEN. FRANKLIN DRILON

PASIG CONG. ROMAN ROMULO

Of course, with his ever-graceful wife, Shalani Soledad.

SEN. RALPH RECTO

Uy, si Ate Vi!

VALENZUELA CONG. SHERWIN GATCHALIAN

Kilala mo ba siya?

SEN. TITO SOTTO

Aside from senatoriables, a few major local positions were also represented:

ATTY. HARRY ROQUE - PARTY LIST REPRESENTATIVE, KABAYAN

MANILA MAYOR AND FORMER PRES. JOSEPH ESTRADA - MAYOR, MANILA

CALOOCAN CITY REP. RECOM ECHIVERRI - MAYOR, CALOOCAN
