After a 9-month hiatus from being the most awesome late night talk show host ever, Conan O’Brien is back in the boob tube with a new show, simply called Conan.
Good for Team Coco, who has had a rocky start to 2010. Remember? That infamous late night fiasco that saw funnyman Jay Leno trump O’Brien out of the Tonight Show and NBC for good?
Well, Conan O’Brien returned to TV November 8 in the US with the new late night talk show Conan. It made its Philippine debut on Jack TV last Tuesday night, November 16.
Why the show is named after him, Conan responded by saying “it’ll be harder to replace me this way.” Taking jabs this early– just the way we love Coco.
With a new show in a new network, here’s to hoping O’Brien sticks to his good ol’ brand of humor, materialized by our list of the five most memorable Conan skits ever made:
The Walker: Texas Ranger lever
With NBC Universal owning the rights to old Walker: Texas Ranger episodes, Conan has claimed that he can play any clips of the show whenever he wants without having to pay any royalties. He then introduced the Walker: Texas Ranger lever, a device that plays old Chuck Norris clips. He then pulls the lever during the most random and awkward moments of the show.
