There’s only way we could describe Game One of the UAAP Season 76 Finals: EPIC! Both teams made runs, several players gave up their bodies, and we even had two brothers going at each other!

It was the kind of game you didn’t want to see anyone lose, all because you craved more great basketball. But someone had to taste defeat. So after almost two hours of back-and-forth, patayan-para-sa-bola action, the University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers defeated the De La Salle University Green Archers, 73-72, to take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three series.

The game’s ending was one for the books, here take a look:

UST can wrap the series up in Game 2, which happens on Saturday, October 5, 3:30 p.m., at the Araneta Coliseum.

But for now, how about some Game 1 sidelights! Scroll down for what we observed from grabbing unmanned seats courtside (before getting shooed away by bouncers), taking tons of photos, and our usual babe-spotting regimen!
