A 17-year-old boy from Taytay, Rizal died last week after he was allegedly bullied then beaten to death by four of his classmates.
The victim was identified as John Mark Lucero, a Grade 9 student from the Manuel I. Santos Memorial National High School, GMA News reports.
According to his mother Arlene, her son went home from school on March 25 with a bloody mouth and bruises all over his body.
John Mark was also suffering from a fever so Arlene decided to rush him to the hospital. There, her son told her what happened and who did it before falling into comatose and eventually dying last Friday.
“Trip-trip lang talaga ‘yung bigla-bigla na lang silang susuntukin, ganyan, pagkakatuwan. Pag pinatulan niya baka raw po pagtulungan siya kasi kaklase niya lang rin lahat,” Arlene said.
The incident has already been reported to the school’s administration but no response or action has been taken yet.
Authorities are already investigating the incident and have invited John Michael’s classmates with their parents for questioning.
