Smooth. And we’re not referring to those yards of sleek fabric on which our cover girl Daiana Menezes chose to sexily lounge around. Come to think of it, however, that fabric is an apt metaphor for the day’s work: the October cover shoot went as smoothly as the silk draped on Daiana’s trim, tanned physique.

The whole crew was raring to go. We shot at photog Xander’s spanking-new studio in the middle of QC, conveniently located near GMA 7, so Daiana would have no trouble with traffic. There were no wardrobe problems, no inclement weather, and no hunger on the set thanks to the smorgasbord of snacks FHM packed along.

Potential problems were dispatched without drama—no car to pick up some props? “Use my van,” Daiana says. Midday yawns thanks to a generous lunch? “Let’s dance around to the songs I sing at Bulaga,” Daiana urges. Diana’s singular demand was for us to have as much fun as she was having.

So easy she was to work with, so entertaining were her antics (and impressive her grasp of Filipino colloquialisms) that it was the most swabe workday we’ve had in a while, an added bonus to shooting a cover girl whose skin shimmered like silk.

Because we want you to be as stress-free as we are, check out the good reads in the October issue: How to live better with more money smarts, last longer in the sack, grab the best pizza in town (believe us, we tried ‘em all) to cushion the blow and or to celebrate you winning! Premium babes Kaiyir Trinidad and Mariel Sorino titillate, and a whimsical aswang battle brings out the best in Pinoy mythological lore. And oh yeah, we send Super Bonng! to Maguindanao. The October issue is one for the books. Swabe.
