You’ve seen the pictures. Thousands of cars have been damaged to extreme extents by the recent Typhoon Ondoy downpour and subsequent floods. So to help those who own Honda vehicles, Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) has just announced that they are offering 30% subsidy on all parts, lubricants, and 10% on labor charges for flood-related repairs. The mark down in prices is sure to be of great assistance for those hoping to revive their Honda vehicles, and prevent them from going to the junkyard.
However, HCPI issues an early disclaimer: They may not be immediately ready to accommodate the massive influx of flooded, broken-down vehicles. But rest assured they have already ordered supplies in advance to try their best to provide service. They have also advised that those affected should call Honda’s Toll Free Hotline, 1-800-1000-HONDA (46632) before bringing in the vehicles to make sure that they can accommodated.
For those who waiting their turn, Honda advises not start their vehicles as that would only cause more damage. One thing that they could do is to disconnect the battery, and clean out whatever it is that they can clean to prevent rust and corrosion.
