Last week, Miranda posted a tweet saying he was a solid Duterte supporter but was still open for other voters to "educate" him about their respective bets.
He then thanked all those who obliged his request, saying he was enlightened with all the opinions regarding other presidential candidates.
But not everyone was delighted with Miranda's apparent interest in other candidates. Some Duterte supporters labeled the singer as "balimbing," even calling him as a "bayaran."
Due to this, Miranda fired back at his detractors in a lengthy Facebook post, explaining he was only exercising his right to choose and vote wisely.
"Wag naman kayo magalit sa akin… Sa tingin ko, tama nga yung ginagawa ko eh, kasi I'm being a responsible voter. I check and double check all my options," his post read.
"Kung Duterte pa rin ako pagkatapos ko malaman lahat ng pwede kong malaman tungkol sa ibang mga kandidato, at least sigurado ako na tama ako, kasi pinag-aralan ko talaga yung desisyon ko," it added.
