Scorching heat.

Suddenly, torrential rains.

Certainly not the perfect time to head out of town and make use of that prized sembreak, right?

But if given a chance—let's say all-expense paid at that—would you still risk going out even with this erratic weather?

If the answer is yes, you might want to check out this online travel competition by our friends at TravelBook.ph and StopSleepGo.

The two premier accommodation booking sites are teaming up to give you "Juanderlust," the search for the so-called "Chosen Juan," who will be given the enviable task of exploring and reacquainting with our beautiful country in 80 days.

In other words: VACAY ALL THE WAY IN 80 DAYS!

The Chosen Juan will set forth for an epic travel escapade to experience 80 local wonders—not limited to just the place itself; a "wonder" could also be food, a person, etc.—and immerse in a particular destination's culture along the way.

Open to everyone (from seasoned backpackers, to those who just want to get some R&R), hopeful jetsetters just need fill out the application form here, and think of your best reply—in text and video format—to this question:

"WHY SHOULD YOU BE THE CHOSEN JUAN?"

Yes, it's that easy!

Applications for Juanderlust are open until November 15, with the lucky winner to be announced on January 2, next year.

The good news is, with the journey beginning on the second week of January (and ending on the last week of March), the winner doesn't have to face the current weather condition. Well, hopefully next year's outset will be relatively better.

So, start thinking and writing now!
