Did you know that July is named in honor of Roman emperor Julius Caesar, who was born on July 100 BC? Bet you didn’t know that. He was also devastated after knowing Jollibee birthday parties weren’t available at that time.

But lame jokes and boring history aside, hordes of pop culture milestones also went down in July. Rock and roll and Sarah Geronimo were born, several notable moments in sports happened, classic novels were published, and some of our most loved comedians sadly passed away. Also, an iconic gaming console was released (clue: hinihipan ‘yung cartridges).

July is also the month when P-Noy delivers his annual State of the Nation Address. But who wants to read about that, right? So let’s just focus on the cool, uhm, non-presidential stuff. Below are the memorable pop culture moments in July's history!
