Justin Bieber, Tacloban—and the whole Philippines by extension—would like to say "Maraming salamat, bro!"
Yesterday, the Canadian pop superstar surprised everyone when he dropped by Tacloban unannounced via a private jet. He then held an exclusive mini concert, singing Christmas carols for the numerous victims of Super Typhoon Yolanda inside the badly-hit Central City Elementary School. He also gave shirts marked with the statement "#Give back to the Philippines" to the survivors.

According to the 19-year-old international celebrity, the Tacloban trip is the last and most important stop of his global "Believe" tour. However, his helping hand goes even before his Philippine landfall. Apparently, Justin Bieber previously posted a video on the fundraising platform Prizeo asking for support for Yolanda's victims.
But this is what really got us making a collective thumbs up sign: Justin Bieber playing hoops with Tacloban kids! Yes, fellas! Aside from singing his heart out and giving souvenirs, JB literally got the ball rolling by hoopin' in up in a make-shift court. He even played a little bit of one-on-one against Gilas Pilipinas coach Chot Reyes. No word on who won but we guess it's safe to say lahat panalo dito!

Great job, JB! This gesture of kindness helps us forget about reports of your "uncool" antics in the past. What you did is a nice early pamasko for the people of Tacloban (who are now newly-converted "Beliebers").
Anyway, the hoops part of Justin Bieber's trip got us thinking: Who are the other local celebrities we want to face off against the "Baby" singer in a game of basketball? Hop on to the next page for our choices as well as our pambatos on who'll win.
