In a strange turn of events, the individual who started the online petition to suspend the Mocha Uson's blog had his personal Facebook account suspended.
In one of the updates on his petition page, Paul Quilet confirmed that the suspension happened around Monday night.
“My Facebook account has been reported. I have requested Facebook to have it reactivated ASAP. Thank you!”
Apparently, Quilet's account was suspended after various individuals, presumably Uson’s fans, reported it upon learning that he was the lead petitioner.
In his petition posted on Sunday, Quilet underscored how Uson used her newly found influence to divide the nation through spreading “fictitious/unsupported claims, fake news, and false information about pressing issues in the Philippines.”
Uson for her part uploaded a video where she said goodbye to her fans in case her account got suspended, while also hitting back at her critics.
Earlier, she has been accused of using her massive following to indirectly lash out at her critics.
So far, Quilet's petition has 31,100 signatures and only needs 3,900 more before it is delivered to Facebook for consideration.
