An assault was reportedly attempted against Filipino boxing icon and Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao just days before his scheduled retirement bout against American boxer Timothy Bradley Jr.
According to Philippine Star reporter Abac Cordero, a white male rushed towards Pacquiao who was by his car at the parking lot of Kabuki restaurant in Los Angeles.
Pacquiao’s aides were able to restrain the attacker and did not call the cops as instructed by the boxing champion.
One of Pacquiao’s aides also recounted how quick the incident transpired.
Pacquiao will share the ring for the third time with Bradley on April 10 (Manila time) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
