"So anong pakiramdam na matikman ni Wendell?" asked one tabloid reporter during a recent press conference. FHM's December 2012 cover babe Meg Imperial uncomfortably laughs the question off, then bounces back with flare: "Mainit! Nagliliyab!"
The 19-year old actress is of course talking about her upcoming Viva flick, Menor De Edad, a Joel Lamangan-helmed adult drama that pits Meg with the likes of Ara Mina, Jaycee Parker, Chynna Ortaleza, and her onscreen lover, Wendell Ramos. The film opens January 24.
Intrigued? Well, you should be, especially after you've seen this poster:
Menor De Edad tackles the moral dilemmas that confront a female teen and the many lengths she's willing to go through to protect her name. In the movie, Meg plays 15-year old Jen Guilarman, a third year high school student who leads a lonely, troubled existence in a tenament housing building. Brought up by dysfunctional parents (her mom and her lesbian live-in partner), Jen relies on her teacher and friends for sympathy and comfort, only to end up on the wrong end of a gang rape.
In line with the film's plot, and given that she did two of them in the movie (the tikiman with Wendell included), we ask Meg for tips on how to pull off a beautiful, convincing love scene. Amusing enough, she actually has a few tips up her sleeve!
1. Making (fake) love requires a game plan
"Kailangan i-ready mo yung sarili mo sa sasabihin ng director. Sa mga instructions, kailangan open yung mind mo. Pinasok mo yan, so kailangan buo yung loob mo. Hindi ka dapat nagda-dalawang isip na kapag may sinabi yung director hindi mo gagawin. Kailangan napag-usapan niyo na yun before niyo pa gawin."
2. Work on the scandalous angles
"At least man lang dapat may idea ka sa mga pwedeng daya sa eksena. Kasi hindi naman pwedeng lahat mapakita eh. Alamin mo kung paano dayain–kausapin mo yung mga cameramen. 'Kuya, hangga’t maaari, yung kaya lang sana.' Yung mga cameramen naman namin sobrang mababait and they cooperate with the actors."
3. "Walang personalan, (movie) sex lang"
"Internalization, yun ang pinaka-importante. Kailangan ma-feel mo rin siya. Kung hindi mo pa siya nae-experience in real life, ang awkward niyang gawin in front of many people. Kailangan mong ma-internalize and realize that you’re doing it for the love of the film. Para sa ikagaganda ito ng pelikula, hindi dahil sa sarili mo lang."
And now we get to the best part: the trailer for Menor de Edad! Notice how Meg is introduced with this classic line: "At ipinakikilala sa isang mapangahas na pagganap..." Press play below!
