The netizen who threatened to kill President-elect Rodrigo Duterte for catcalling a female reporter has issued a public apology.
A remorseful Joseph Robert Lu issued the apology through a five-minute video made possible by a group of Duterte supporters.
Lu also pleaded for the public’s understanding and for his fellow netizens to stop sharing his posts since his work, children, and family are already affected by the issue.
Lu posted various tweets aimed at Duterte, labeling him as "stupid" and "arrogant" and ended it by saying he will kill the incoming president.
His posts immediately went viral, with mostly Duterte supporters sharing his post and bashing him afterwards which prompted him to issue the apology.
