Nike’s We Run Manila Extends Registration

A new deadline to chase for runners who love to procrastinate

With only a couple of weeks to go before Nike’s We Run Manila 2012 takes over the streets of Pasay, we hope you’ve been staying away from the couch, and doing more than token morning jogs.

The global We Run race series, which will see a total of 395,500 runners hailing from 34 countries, kicked off last September 1, 2012 in Czech Republic with the final finish line to be crossed at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on December 15, 2012. The Manila leg, a panoramic run set in Pasay, happens on December 2, 2012.

We called it the “first-ever marathon-sightseeing tour-mobile concert-massage party” with the race passing through scenice Manila Bay, a mid-run concert featuring Manila's top musical acts (it’s like running with an iPod, except with live music!), and free massages for the finishers. Nike’s never been shy to do epic, so this is just them going that route again.

”Can I still register?” you ask. Thankfully for those who have been too lazy to run off to designated Nike stores, registration for the race has been extended.  For in-store registrations, you now have until November 15. You can also register online at www.facebook.com/NikeRunningPH until November 25. Click on this previous article for the list of stores where you can register along with pertinent registration details.

For added motivation, Nike has shared with us these banging We Run Manila tees (see gallery below) which every participant will receive. Only those who had been training hard enough though will receive the even more banging finisher tees, so don’t get lazy now!
