All the scorching Paloma photos we will indulge ourselves with this November is best appreciated in the light of time.
Because to accomplish over 100 frames of Paloma in various states of mind, roughly took about a very impressive 60 minutes.
Let us see. What can you do with an hour?
A film can be developed in 60 minutes. Russ Swift can repeat his two-wheel-drive stunt several times in an hour.
An episode of Entourage, two of The Simpsons, The Top 20 at 12 countdown, lunch, a lay.
What can you not do in an hour? A movie, for one; it’s almost always 90 minutes or 120 minutes. Never just 60. A telenovela episode; they’re always going for about 45 minutes or some awkward division of time, it seems.
And just so you know, never a full-pledged FHM babe shoot, not even when we’ve started early, not even when we’re on time.
Not until Paloma, that is. Already on her fifth appearance in the rag (both in the magazine and online), Paloma demonstrated that only someone as experienced as her would be able to catch up with a photographer as fast-paced as ours, in this case, Doc Marlon.
And just like that, just in an hour, we’ve been done for.
With a name like Paloma, do you feel the pressure to be sexy all the time?
Hindi naman. Actually nawirduhan ako sa pangalan ko, ayoko nung pangalan ko dati. Sino ba ang may [name na] Paloma? Pero nung tumatanda na ako, nalaman ko na may Paloma Picasso, so pwede. So doon pala based ang pangalan ko.
How was your childhood like? Have you always been this delicate and reserved?
Hindi nga eh, boyish nga ako nung bata eh. Naglalaro ako ng mga agawan base, patintero, mga ganyan.
That’s fast becoming a cliché.
Seryoso! Ako talaga ganun, sinasabi ng mga neighbors ko sa akin “di ba dati tomboy ka?” Mga ganun.
How did it all change then?
Nung nag-FHM ako, doon na nagbago lahat. Before nagmo-modeling ako, pero normally may clothes pa ako noon. Hanggang sa sinabi ko ayoko na nito, ang boring! Change status! FHM na.
