With over 7,000 islands, the Philippines is slowly making itself known as one of the countries in the world with the best to offer following another successful ranking in a list by Condé Nast Traveler.
Boracay which was praised for its “powdery white sand and shallow azure water” took the top spot. And although this island is rather small, Condé Nast says its thriving nightlife scene more than makes up for it.
Another local favorite, Palawan came in at a close second and was recognized for now being home to a natural wonder of the world, the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River.
Condé Nast describes it as “one of the longest underground rivers in the world” where beautiful natural rock formations will have you awed.
Meanwhile, Cebu comes in at the fifth spot for having a more personal vibe in its many beaches. The travel guide site also suggests a visit to Camotes Islands for a more authentic experience of living in an island.
Here’s the video where other islands like the Great Barrier Reef, Vancouver Islands, Bermuda, Bali and the Cayman Islands were also featured.
