Earlier this week (on October 14 to be exact), former Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte (or Sara Zimmerman Duterte-Carpio, that's her full name) shaved her head in support of the clamor for her father, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, to run for president.

She posted the photo above on Instagram which has since garnered almost 14,000 likes on the popular photo-sharing service as of this writing.

However, her sacrifice went down the drain as her father stuck to his word that he won't run for president in the 2016 elections. But don't you sulk, Inday Sara, and take comfort in the fact that many of our kababayans joined your initiative.

We also hope you don't regret shaving your head because, in our humble and honest opinion, you really look pretty with your buzzed 'do. It suits you, ma'am!

Just like Sara, the pretty women below also took a leap of faith as they decided to bring out the razor and shave their heads. And you know what? They all nailed the look!

When Abby joined the singing reality show in 2013, she not only displayed her awesome vocal prowess, she also served as an inspiration for people who suffer from alopecia areata. Clueless? It's a type of hair loss that occurs when your immune system mistakenly attacks your own hair follicles.

Abby confessed that it took her a while before she got the courage to completely shave her head and embrace her condition. And when she did, she got rid of her insecurities, and gained more confidence. Way to go, Abby!

Natalie shocked the world when she shaved off her beautiful locks for her role in the 2005 thriller V For Vendetta. But what made it really epic was the fact that going bald didn't really changed anything; she still looked as stunning as ever.

The enigmatic Irish singer etched her mark in music history with these two things: her version of Prince's "Nothing Compares 2 U" and her iconic buzzed hairdo.

DEMI MOORE

In the 1997 action flick G.I. Jane, there's a scene where Demi takes an electric razor and shaves her head in order to prove that she's cut (pun intended) for the NAVY Seals.

Don't bother searching for it on YouTube. We've got you covered:

The Academy Award-winning actress gave a masterful performance as Fantine in the 2012 musical Les Misérables. Her acting wasn't the only thing that made buzz, though; her really short hairstyle also attracted the attention of the viewers.
